How to Run a Speed Test to Ensure Your Bandwidth is Strong Enough to Stream
We highly recommend running a speed test before every stream as bandwidth varies from place to place along with it’s respective network you are using. If your bandwidth is not strong enough to stream then you will either not be able to stream or the quality of your stream will be greatly reduced.
Please follow the steps below to ensure your bandwidth is strong enough to stream:
1. Login to your Mobile Publishing account.
2. Click Settings in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
3. Click Mobile Publishing. (If Mobile Publishing does not appear in your settings drawer then you are either not signed into your Mobile Publishing account or you have not yet signed up for a Mobile Publishing account.)
4. Click Perform Speed Test located at the very bottom of the Mobile Publishing pop-up.
5. Click Start to begin the bandwidth speed test. Once the speed test is complete you will see a resolution recommendation which you will use for your streams video settings. Keep in mind that if your resolution is higher than what your bandwidth speeds can handle then your stream will not run smoothly as it is attempting to upload more data than is possible.
